P. orgia tends to show a weaker and more continuous post-discal band and stronger orange basal marking VFW, and stronger V cell-end bars. P. polibetes usually has a stronger and more spotted post-discal band and no orange basal marking VFW, and does not show V cell-end bars. These characters are highly variable, however, and some individuals appear intermediate.
