A. lincoides has a relatively broad orange band along the VHW termen, with some white between it and the adjacent black line; it also has a small white spot near the VFW base. A. separata has a much narrower orange band along the VHW termen, which is solid to the adjacent black line, and lacks the white spot near the VFW base.
Main difference is on the DFW: A. separata has the black scent patch(?) completely surrounded by white; in A. aetolus the patch is connected to the black wing margin. Ventrally very similar, I'm not 100% confident with differences.
